This program supports individuals whose major source of financial support is lost due to separation, divorce, death or disability of a spouse, and who are unprepared to handle their finances for the first time. Through this program they will develop financial life skills to manage their finances and begin planning for a new financial beginning. Workshops include:

Mother & Son


  • New Beginning Money Management. Designed to help individuals who, for the first time, are making their own financial decisions. New Beginnings Money Management covers core financial topics such as budgeting, savings, checking accounts, credit and asset building strategies to achieve a financial goal.

  • Financial Aspects of Divorce. This workshop is designed to help individuals understand the broad range of issues you will face when going through divorce.  It will help you understand the financial complications – before, during and after, teach you how to avoid costly mistakes, clarify your expectations and help you to begin planning for a new financial beginning.

Services include individual counseling.
